I have months where I really get back into my makeup and fall in love with beauty products all over again. Whilst I’ve not picked up anything new (yet) this month, I have been loving some golden oldies so I’m bringing it back old school with my May makeup favourites. I have used some affiliate links in this post, not an ad just links to the site for your reference.
Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Ecru [£33.50- Boots.com], this foundation is my ultimate ‘get shit done’ foundation. You cannot go wrong with this foundation as it lasts all day, can get you through any weather and covers all imperfections. I prefer this to MAC studio fix fluid as it looks more natural and doesn’t smell like paint (here’s looking at you studio fix). Whilst it’s not cheap at around £30 a bottle, this bottle has lasted me FOREVER. When I have a busy day at work and need my makeup to look good from morning to night, I always go for this. I need to get a back up incase my one runs out!
Next up is something that is so old school it hurts but the Benefit High Beam highlighter [£22 -Boots.com] is the OG in liquid highlighter. No one seems to use this anymore but I love it. I use it on my cheek bones or mixed with foundation to give a light glow. Whilst I do own the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter, that is quite pricey so I save that for big makeup days. For everyday work day looks, this does a great job.

I have been LOVING Brow Zings [£27.00 – Boots.com]- another Benefit product and a faultless one at that. I’ve used this for YEARS even when it was in a black box packaging. The wax works really well at keeping your brows in place and the powder really compliments my ashy tones in my eyebrows. This has lasted me forever so I seriously recommend this and the little brush that comes with it is actually pretty awesome.
And lastly, the two pink products of this month are MAC Angel lipstick [£17.50 – Look Fantastic] which is my FAVOURITE lipstick and one I turn to everyday. It suits my skin tone and pretty much every makeup look going, I pray they never discontinue this one. I also hope that Urban Decay [£42 – Look Fantastic] don’t discontinue yet another Naked palette as Naked 3 is one of my favourites and provides beautiful summery pink shades. I am surprised by how much I use this palette!
What have you been loving this month? Is it as pink as mine!
