Celebrating Mother’s Day with Moonpig

[ad] You can’t beat the joy of traditional post. When there’s a letter or parcel you didn’t expect with some goodies inside. As a blogger that happens occasionally but when it’s from friends or family it can be so special to know someone was thinking of you. As Mother’s Day is approaching, Moonpig wanted to highlight some of the amazing products they have on offer which has significantly grown in the last few years. Remember when it was just cards!

This year Moonpig sent over a gorgeous houseplant orchid in the shape of a heart to help me celebrate becoming a mum! Ok, so my baby is currently cooking away but even considering myself a mum is a nice thought and little gestures make it feel real and a support to get you into the parenting mind frame. The orchid arrived in a big pink box and even Dan said “It wasn’t me!” when he brought it through the door.

That’s the joy of a gift this big, the suspense is fab! It also arrived with a personalised card (what Moonpig have done well to create a household name on).  They have also challenged me to find the perfect Mother’s Day gift to send to my mum this Mothering Sunday too. I am actually seeing my mum that weekend so my order is due to arrive on the Friday so it will be a nice surprise from the postman that day too. Here’s hoping she doesn’t read my blog!!

I went for one of the gorgeous bouquets of flowers called The Sweetness which is a lovely assortment of lilies, pink flowers and foliage. I think this will open up to be a beautiful display. I personally love lilies too. Alongside this I’ve also sent a brilliantly hilarious card that’s been inspired by Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody ‘mama’ and a tin of fancy cookies to enjoy with a cup of tea. They really do have it all covered! You could even send alcohol or savoury food hampers too!

I love that no matter where you are in the world, you can send a gift that makes someone day just using Moonpig. It’s super easy to do and you can either send to yourself (to then pass on) or direct to the recipient. The flowers also come with a ‘how to guide’ so anyone can look after them! If you’re stuck on a gift that means something this year, why not make their day with this delivery! Find out more on Moonpig.com/uk.

*I was gifted the orchid and presents to send to my mum in return for a review.
