I have a bit of an obsession with Latest in Beauty Boxes recently. I am always eager to see what’s new and it’s a fantastic way for someone as picky as me to try a load of new products without spending ten weeks on deciding to buy it. Plus they’re super affordable for the amount you get.
This month’s newest box comes in the form of SUMMER HEROES. Despite the testing weather, the hotter temps are on their way and this box is perfect for at home pampering or your holiday essentials.
So most importantly, this box is £30 but you get 13 products included, so it’s a great price.
What’s included?
You will get a watermelon scented St Tropez Gradual Tan, which I’m not the biggest watermelon scent fan but I do think anything that stops you smelling like biscuits is a good thing. This little bottle is perfect for travels too.
There is a System Professional Solar Sun Oil, this is for your hair which is one of my biggest battles at the moment so excited to use this. I an imagine this being incredible after a day in the sun or sea on holiday. I think when I go on holiday I wash my hair at least 10 times in a week which isn’t great.
For the body, Weleda has included a sea buckthorn body wash. I’m no expert in scents so I’m not entirely sure what sea buckthorn smells like to describe to you but its a refreshing scent nonetheless.
For the makeup front there’s Ciate Bamboo Bronzer and is great for topping up that tan! Or to cool down, you can use the Sport FX Cool Down Primer and Recovery Gel which let’s face it sounds incredible after a day in the sunshine to cool any sun burn, whilst holding makeup in place. I actually want a holiday to try this now.
This is one product I have instantly fallen for and it’s the Sumita Cosmetics eyeliner. Why? This is actually grey instead of black and I am all here for it. I really think black can be too dark for everyday wear on my eyes so this is a fantastic alternative.
If you’re a fan of the invisibobble then you’ll like this. They have included their ‘waver’ clip which creates a wave effect in your hair with no metal, no traces and easy to use. They really are coming out with everything these days.
The next product is the Opi Nail Lacquer in Pump up the Volume, this is a bright colour so perfect for your toes. I’m more of a gel nail girl just so I don’t have to maintain it myself, but OPI are one of the top brands for nail paint so am happy to have this as a back up in my collection.
The last few products are the Yardley English Bluebell Deodorising Body Fragrance which admittedly sounds a bit confusing. It isn’t a deodorant, but it’s a body mist with a light fragrance for on the go. English Bluebell sounds refreshing for summer so when things do get hot – we’ll be thankful for this in our handbags!
Another hair product which sounds incredible is the Umberto Giannini Leave in Protection Cream – a must have for holidays. If you have coloured hair or thin hair, then this sounds like a must. Apply to wet or dry hair to prevent colour fade and the drying effects of the sun. My hair turns into straw on holiday so this sounds like a dream. I don’t have a holiday line up, but this is already in my bag waiting.
The last two products are liners! One being the Studio 10 Brow Lift perfecting liner, which is actually in ash which is pretty close to my shade for once! The last being the Lord and Berry Ultimate Lip Liner.
Overall thoughts?
This box has impressed me. If you want some products to get you through the summer or a holiday, this ticks all the boxes. You never feel cheated on with these boxes as this was full to the brim with products and a selection of full size too. Even the mini versions are never tiny.
I am most excited by the hair products and the grey eyeliner!
