I love a pink blush, especially being fair skin but a cool pink is so hard to come by these days as the nude/peachy tones have been dominating the makeup isles over the last few years. However, after stopping by the Cambridge Boots Benefit Counter on a whim to pick up my favourite OG Hoola Bronzer, I was instantly sold by the new dewy gel blush sticks. The Benefit Juice Stick Dewy Gel Blush in the shade Figgie is a gorgeous blush that deserves more praise for it’s longevity and colour!
These sticks are not something I’d normally gravitate towards as I usually use powder products but they are simply amazing. These sticks are a hydrating gel formula in a stick, they actually feel cold to touch when applying and require you to put the lid back on each time to avoid it drying out. When applying to cheeks they leave a really dewy, flush of colour which can easily be blended and built upon. I like products that are super easy to blend rather than too drying on the skin too.
This particular colour ‘Figgie’ is a wonderful cool toned pinky purple and it leaves a lovely pink flush to the skin that genuinely, lasts. I’ve never tried a blush product that has such staying power! I put this on in the morning and I still have such a glow by the end of the day which I don’t think many products truly do last like that without extra setting sprays etc. They say online that they are water-resistant and both sweat resistant so this is a must for all year long but particularly good on holiday – even the cooling feel will be welcomed in a hot climate!
Benefit has been one of my ultimate favourite brands since I got into makeup, I’m an ‘Some Kinda Gorgeous’ girl and California Kissing blue lipgloss fan – IYKYK – and whilst I do miss some of the vintagey/American style products they used to make, this one is suddenly a firm favourite with me and I look forward to using it more and maybe even trying other shades! At £30 it’s definitely a treat product but I think this would last ages (providing you keep the cap on to keep it hydrated!)
