I’m not much of a tanner, you won’t find me looking far off my pasty skin most days even in the heights of summer. However, since this year’s sun has been pretty non-existent receiving the Tan Luxe Sleep oil in my Latest in Beauty Box the other month was a welcome addition to my skincare routine. This stuff adds a natural, healthy tan and glow to the skin in a really easy to use product.
What is it?
The Sleep Oil is facial oil that gets to work tanning your face evenly overnight whilst you sleep! It allows you to wake up looking tanned, glow and refreshed as if you’ve just come back from your holiday overnight! Sometimes we all just need a little pick me up after a hard week, long weekend or brightening of the skin before a day out! The liquid is thin and oily and applied like any other night oil. You MUST wash your hands after applying but you can massage into the skin so it’s a lovely product to apply.
How it works?
It not only contains a tanning ingredient but is fantastic for the skin too. It contains six pure oils; Raspberry, Kendi, Argan, Marula, Jojoba & Apricot, plus Vitamins B5, C & E. It also has anti ageing properties so even if it’s replacing your usual moisturiser or creams, it’s working to help boost your skincare too! It leaves you with super soft, moisturised skin that works on anti-aging and leaves you with a lovely glow! What more could you want?
I love using this oil as it’s so easy to use. You just squeeze the dropper and apply with your fingers. It always leaves me looking well rested even on the first application and is a buildable product that you can use a few nights in a row to get your desired tanning effect. It is much darker than my usual colour and wouldn’t even be close my natural tan potential BUT I quite like that. I like that it does what it says on the tin, I want to be tanned and within 10 hours I am! I am eager to try the body version now too. I find that although my facial cleanser does budge some of it away, I do have about 2-3 days of good consistent colour so I am pretty happy with how it fairs especially on the face.
It’s also 100% vegan and cruelty free! It’s pricer than some tanners I’ve used but it’s also the first facial tan I’ve used that is super easy to use and doesn’t streak/go patchy so it’s worth it’s weight for the results it provides. Pick yourself a bottle up at £34 here!
