[ad-gifted] As a Nivea Family member I get to try out some fantastic products from the highstreet name. All of us at some point have had a Nivea product in our shower and whilst I don’t share every release they have, the new Nivea Fresh Blends Shower Creams deserved a little mention as they are changing the game with biodegradable and vegan formulas.
The shower cream itself is a luxurious cream formula rather than gel which lathers perfectly and smells sweet like a raspberry smoothie or dessert. This is perfect for everyday cleansing or using as a gel for shaving your legs as it lathers up so well.
They even mention on the bottle that the bottle will be a little grey looking compared to their other product lines but this is because it’s been created with 100% recycled plastic. I’ve seen a lot more brands especially your larger high street names start to move towards a greener movement which is always welcomed and I think give it a few years, will be the norm. I can’t imagine it’s an easy task to move every product line over.
The product is also great for Vegans as it has no animal or animal derived ingredients in it which makes for a fantastic affordable skincare range which can easily be picked up from the supermarket or drugstore.
Whilst I’m not going to claim to be the biggest eco-warrior and I’m not a vegan, I think it’s worth giving credit to these companies who are starting to see the benefit of being kind to skin and the planet. If you can still pay the same price and get a fantastic product then it’s a great way to start moving towards an eco world especially in the beauty industry which I can imagine is fast paced and full of plastics.
